Happy Christmas !!

I have been so unbelievably busy living ..actually particpating in the flow of life ..
I've not had time to post at all.

My school reunion ... 38 years after we graduated. Magical, memorable and fantastic!

Almost 40 years since I had seen most of them ...

And now the runup to Christmas ...Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with all my children and then my granddaughters are coming back with me for the week and New Year's eve here at the beach.

I am so blessed.

Happy Christmas dear blog friends, whatever that may mean to you.

Merry Christmas to you, Sarah Lulu, and enjoy every single moment of your children and grandchildren around you. They are the true magic in Christmas!! Hug them tight and you will know just how blessed you are. My children are what let's me know why life is sooo worth it! Stay busy and stay happy, and enjoy your holidays.

Sarah I love how you are participating in the flow of life.....hope you are enjoying every minute my friend.

I have never been to a school reunion and would love to one day. Glad to hear yours was lots of fun.

HOpe you had a wonderful Christmas too Sarah. Ours was busy but it's nice now just to chill. Not sure I'd recognise anyone after 40 years! Then I keep in touch with a lot of my school friends. Wishing you and yours the complements of the season and have a great new year. Perhaps 2012 will be our year?

Characters in my life ....also to protect my young adult children from being named ....

My eldest child Miss Spirit ;

Obviously my daughter has a vibrant, assertive personality! Miss Spirit and her hubbie are gorgeous and live less than 3 hours from my new Beach Castle. She is a travel consultant but is now giving her focus to mothering our beautiful Matilda born May 28, 2009, and delightful Harriet, born April 3o, 2011. Her hubbie ...Mr. G. works in the television industry as a film editor.

My older son Le Chef;

Talented Le Chef has a strong personality and works in a restaurant, he is a qualified Chef. He lives up in the mountains with his wife, in a house he purchased with the beautiful Miss K. who is like another daughter to me.

And my younger son Giraffe Boy;

My Giraffe Boy works in IT Support for the Dept. of Education! He's so tall I can't reach him! 6'2" or more ...he shares a mountain house with friends, he's very smart and very funny ... we have a wonderous loving easy relationship.

I am truly blessed.

God willing ...my wish list .....suggestions welcome...

The Invitation

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.

It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.

It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.

I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.

It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithlessand therefore trustworthy.

I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day,and if you can source your own life from its presence.

I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”

It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.

It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.

It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.

I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.
